- Sorcerer Software KeySpeed March, 1994
-
- *****************************************************************************
-
- KeySpeed gives you a way to change the keyboard's delay and repeat rate.
- It allows you to manually adjust these parameters by entering the values
- of your choice, or it will configure your keyboard to the default settings
- or the fastest settings automatically for you.
-
- OPERATION:
-
- Start KeySpeed by typing at the command line (DOS prompt):
-
- KeySpeed <Enter>
-
- You will then be prompted to enter the delay repeat and rate repeat of
- your choice:
-
- delay: specifies the amount of time that must elapse (after
- pressing a key) before the character is repeated. Valid entries
- are 0 to 3, representing 250, 500, 750, and 1000 milliseconds.
- 0 is the shortest, 3 the longest.
-
- rate: the rate at which a character is repeated on the screen
- when you hold a key down. Valid entries are 0-31
- There are 32 choices in all. 00 is the fastest, 31 the slowest.
-
- If you prefer to work with the fastest possible keyboard speed, just type:
-
- KeySpeed /0 <Enter>
-
- This is the same as setting delay=0, rate=00.
-
- The default setting for most keyboards is delay=1, rate=12. This will be
- entered automatically if you type:
-
- KeySpeed /1 <Enter>
-
- LIMITATIONS:
-
- We have not yet found any keyboard or software incompatibilities. Please
- read the enclosed file "SIXPACK.DOC".
-
- Thank you for supporting shareware!
